DJing in today’s world is a well paid profession. Every year we have magazines like forbes release its list of richest / influential figures that comprises of the different people throughout the world. According to a report released in 2018, the top 10 DJs have collectively been able to make $ 260 million, which is short as compared to the $298 million pooled in 2017

1. Calvin Harris $48 Million

Born on 17 January 1984, this scottish DJ tops the list consecutively for the 6th year in a row. With releases like promises feat. sam Smith and one kiss feat dua lipa and drawing 6-7 figured cheques for his sets inLas Vegas and tours/ festivals his net worth works up to nearly half a million dollars.

2. The Chainsmokers: $45.5 Million

Consisting of duo Alex Pall(born on May 16, 1985) who is the DJ out of the duo and Andrew Taggart (born on December 31, 1989) who serves as the producer, writer and vocalist, coming in second after Calvin Harris by $ 3 million. With the duo releasing their second album Sick Boy in 2018, they continue to work phenomenally well with other rising artists.

3. Tiësto: $33 Million

This Dutch DJ and record producer , a veteran in this list continues to belt out sick beats to the crowd comes in third with $33 million. In 2018, he released a new single with Post Malone called Jackie Chan

4. Steve Aoki: $28 Million

This Grammy nominated artist (born November 30, 1977) known for having underground concerts. He released Neon Future III in 2018 which featured a single with BTS members, RM, Jimin and Jungkook, called “Waste It On Me”

5. Marshmello: $23 Million

Best known for masking himself with a white bucket and delivering hit singles like Silence, Wolves, Friends & Happier, Marshmello’s identity was much under debate until in 2017, his name Chris Comstock was confirmed by forbes citing events such as Skrillex’s referring of Marshmello as “Chris” in an interview.

6. Zedd :$22 Million

Born Anton Zaslavski ( 2 September 1989), this Russian DJ shot to fame with hit single clarity in 2012. Zedd released his single with Maren Morris and Grey called The Middle. Billboard named Zedd as number seven on their 2018 ranking of dance musicians titled Billboard Dance 100.

7. Diplo: $20 Million

He is the co-creator and lead member of the electronic dancehall music project Major Lazer, a member of the supergroup LSD, with Sia and Labrinth.He is also involved in music production and DJ Skrillex as part of the electronic duo Jack Ü.

8. David Guetta :$15 Million

Known as the grandfather of EDM, David Guetta (7 November 1967) is another veteran on this list. In 2018, he released album 7 reuniting with frequent collaborators Sia, Bebe Rexha, Nicki Minaj and Martin Garrix.

9. Kaskade: $13.5 Million

Kaskade aka Ryan Gary Raddon was voted America’s Best DJ in 2011 and 2013 by DJ Times. In december 2018, he released a single – On Your Mind from the album Ninjawerks.

10. Martin Garrix: $13 Million

Having topped DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list for three consecutive years (2016, 2017 and 2018). In 2018, Garrix headlined the closing ceremony 2018 Winter Olympic Games in South Korea. Besides being named resident DJ at Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel last year he released singles like ocean, high on life , like I do , dreamer and glitch.
Other artists include Axwell & Ingrosso ($12 million), Kygo ($11.5 million), DJ Snake ($11 million),Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike ($10.5 million) & at number 15 is Afrojack with ($10 million)
